Artificial intelligence in NHS Mid and South Essex
At NHS Mid and South Essex, we use artificial intelligence (AI) to assist in processing information and creating content. This means that advanced computer programmes are sometimes used to help us in writing and organising data.
Our aim is to ensure that the information we provide is accurate, helpful, and easy to understand. Using AI enables us to work more efficiently and more productively.
We thoroughly check and review everything to ensure it meets our high standards. We have protocols in place to ensure that staff know how to use AI safely and assess safety and risks via our Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), we will also be developing policy, strategy and a framework via an AI Council, which is currently in the process of being set up.
