Breast screening: what to expect and why it matters
Breast screening saves lives by helping detect breast cancer at an early stage, when treatment is more likely to be successful and less invasive. The NHS Breast Screening Programme offers free screening every three years to women and people registered as female with a GP, aged between 50 and 70.
