Mid and South Essex Recovery College offers a wide range of free courses and workshops, both practical and creative, designed to support your mental health recovery. Whether you’re looking to learn new skills, boost your confidence, or simply connect with others in a safe, welcoming environment – there is something for everyone.
A Recovery College is not therapy, it’s education with a purpose. It’s about learning how to manage your wellbeing, understand yourself better, and take steps towards the life you want to lead.
Thanks to a growing partnership of local services and organisations, we now provide recovery-focused learning opportunities across mid and south Essex, helping more people to explore what recovery means to them. This partnership is currently being developed, and a new website and prospectus will be available later in 2025.
Sessions are open to anyone aged 18 or over who lives in mid and south Essex, this includes:
- Mid Essex: Chelmsford, Braintree, Witham, Maldon, South Woodham Ferrers, Burnham-on-Crouch, Halstead and surrounding areas
- South Essex ( new partnership offer): Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and Wickford
