From Professor Mike Thorne CBE, on behalf of the Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Partnership.
It was with great sadness I learned of the passing of Kristina Jackson this week.
The impact of that loss will of course be most keenly felt in the communities of Thurrock and more latterly Southend where Kristina was CEO of both CVS organisations.
Kristina was a community leader in the truest sense – she championed, she challenged and above all she cared deeply about the communities she served.
That passion saw Kristina play a vital role in the development of our health and care partnership, not least in ensuring the role the community and voluntary sector was understood and the voice of our residents amplified.
I am grateful for the time, energy and wisdom she provided to the Partnership and in the development of Thurrock and South East Essex alliances. We will all be poorer for her absence.
Our sincere condolences go to her family and colleagues at this very sad time.
