The new Beaulieu Healthcare Centre will be opening its doors on Monday 10 November 2025, ready to provide local patients with a wide range of healthcare services.
The new-build healthcare centre will operate as a branch surgery of nearby North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre. It will open to the practice’s existing patients as well as new patients wishing to register.
New patients can register through North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre by visiting How to register – North Chelmsford NHS Healthcare Centre or by contacting the practice on 0300 123 3366.
The NHS is working to make it easier for people to get care in their local community, so fewer patients need to go to hospital. The new facility supports this national aim to bring care closer to home and will provide much-needed additional healthcare capacity for residents living in Beaulieu and the wider North Chelmsford area.
With 13 new clinical rooms, two virtual consulting rooms and a counselling room, the new centre offers flexible space for the practice to deliver modern general practice services in a state-of-the-art facility that meets the latest clinical and safety standards.
Patients will be able to access a range of pre-booked appointments, including face to face, telephone and video appointments.
As well as GPs, nurses and pharmacists will also deliver services from the new facility. Patients will be able to access GP appointments as well as medication reviews and nurse-led appointments such as blood tests, contraception, immunisations and screenings, and minor wound dressings.
Tom Abell, Chief Executive of NHS Mid and South Essex said: “I am so pleased to announce that Beaulieu Healthcare Centre will be ready to welcome patients next month, and I’d like to thank the community for their patience as we have worked to get the centre open. This is a significant investment to expand primary care within Chelmsford that will provide residents with access to health services within their local community.”
Marie Goldman, Member of Parliament representing Chelmsford said “I’m incredibly pleased to welcome the opening of the new Beaulieu Healthcare Centre, which will be a vital asset for our growing community, and I know just how important this facility will be for Chelmsford residents. It’s wonderful to see this investment in Chelmsford’s primary care infrastructure.”
Dr Prasad, Senior GP Partner at North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre, said “Our dynamic, multi-skilled team at North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre and Beaulieu Healthcare Centre are passionate about providing exceptional patient-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels heard, respected and supported.
“This new facility at Beaulieu Healthcare Centre represents an exciting milestone in our journey to enhance healthcare provision for our community, featuring state-of-the-art consulting rooms, seamless digital services and expanded clinical capacity designed for comfort, accessibility and excellent patient experience.
“The additional space provided by the new facility will allow us to recruit more clinical staff and offer more patient services and clinics in the coming months. It will also provide enough space for the practice to develop as a GP training centre, encouraging more healthcare professionals to the area.”
