NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board will hold an Extraordinary Board meeting on Thursday 16 October 2025.
The meeting will take place from 12.30pm to 13.30pm.
The Board will be considering a key item of business regarding transitional governance arrangements, aimed at strengthening collaboration with Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB and Suffolk and North East Essex ICB. This is in preparation for the proposed closure of the Mid and South Essex ICB on 31 March 2026 and the establishment of a proposed new ICB covering the Essex geography from 1 April 2026.
The transitional governance proposal sets out how the three ICBs will work together to plan and deliver integrated health services across Essex during this period of change. This approach is designed to ensure continuity, support shared priorities, and lay the groundwork for a smooth transition to the new system.
NHS Mid and South Essex ICB Board meetings are held as meetings in public, and members of the public are welcome to attend and listen. This meeting will be online only via Microsoft Teams.

While there isn’t an opportunity to comment or ask questions during the meeting, the public can submit questions relating to the agenda item in advance, which the Board will endeavour to answer during the meeting. Where appropriate, any questions not answered will be responded to separately outside of the meeting.
