NHS Mid and South Essex is aware of the global IT issue that is impacting certain IT systems.
Services at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust that were impacted by the IT outage are returning, and patients can continue to access high quality, safe care with minimal disruption to services. However all health services remain busy so please continue to be patient when accessing services.
Patients should continue to access health advice and support through NHS 111 – online at 111.nhs.uk or by calling 111, visiting your community pharmacy, or contacting your GP practice.
There is currently no known impact on 999 or emergency services, so people should use these services as they usually would in case of emergency.
Patients should continue to attend any scheduled healthcare appointments unless told otherwise.
You can reduce the risk of heat-related health issues by keeping hydrated and avoiding the sun during the hottest parts of the day. Find out more information on our Summer health advice pages.
