Clinicians across mid and south Essex are urging people to get their COVID-19 booster jabs before it’s too late.
To help make getting a vaccine as easy as possible, additional walk-in vaccination centres will open this weekend.
On Friday 10, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February, The Lodge in Wickford (SS11 7XX) will be giving booster jabs for over five-year-olds between 9am and 5pm.
Thurrock Health Centre (RM17 6NB) will be open for booster doses for over five-year-olds between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, February 11.
Essex GP, Dr Anna Davey says: “We’re aiming at making it as easy as possible for people to get top up vaccinations and protect themselves and others.
“Even though we’re back to a relatively normal way of life we need to do all we can to prevent further surges.”
Those planning to visit a walk-in clinic should take their NHS number and ID with proof of age.
To minimise wait times those eligible can book in advance if they’re able via the nhs.uk or by calling 0344 2573 961.
