SEND Inspection Preparation Session for health providers

This session is aimed at health services staff that may be asked to meet with Inspectors as part of a SEND Inspection in Southend, Essex and/or Thurrock. SEND is everyone’s business, and the Inspection will be wide-ranging across Education, Health & Social Care so many services could be part of an Inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to provide an independent, external evaluation of the effectiveness of the local area partnerships arrangement for children and young people with SEND and where appropriate, make recommendations to improve arrangements. The session will go through what happens during an Inspection, how health services staff might be involved and the type of information that might be requested.
