Seasonal COVID-19 vaccines are offered to those at increased risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19 – this may be due to a health condition or age. JCVI has recommended that the following groups should be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine this autumn/winter:
- residents and staff in a care home for older adults
- people that are pregnant
- all adults aged 65 years and over
- frontline health and social care workers
- persons aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group, as defined in tables 3 and 4 of the COVID-19 chapter of the Green book
- persons aged 12 to 64 years who are household contacts, as defined in the Green
- book, of people with immunosuppression
- persons aged 16 to 64 years who are carers, as defined in the Green book

Complex Patients, patients with a history of anaphylaxis to certain types of drugs and patients that are unable to have MRNA vaccines for clinical reasons but would like to arrange a Covid vaccination can ask their GP to make a referral to the Complex Patient Team. Once referred a clinician will discuss vaccination options with you and assist with your vaccination.
