The Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Service serves a population of 1.2 million people, living across Braintree, Maldon, Chelmsford, Castle Point, Rochford, Southend, Thurrock, Basildon and Brentwood. Our partnership comprises the following partners:
- Local Authorities: Essex County Council, Southend on Sea Borough Council, Thurrock Council
- NHS Providers: Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, North East London NHS Foundation Trust, Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, East of England Ambulance NHS Trust, Provide CIC

The Opportunity
As an Associate independent non-executive member, you will help to shape a long-term, viable plan for the delivery of the functions, duties, and objectives of the ICB, and for the stewardship of public money.
You will bring independent oversight and constructive challenge to the priorities, plans and performance of the ICB executive team, and promote open and transparent decision-making that facilitates consensus.
You will need to operate beyond traditional organisational boundaries, driving forward the vision of integration, collaboration and system-working, by forging productive relationships across local health, social care and voluntary partners.
You will have a key role in ensuring that the voice and needs of patients and communities are central to ICB discussions and decisions, so that strategies and services are inclusive and accessible to the whole population, and deliver the best possible health outcomes for all. You will also be supported in this role by other non-executive colleagues and the Chair.
